It can take from 6 months to a year or more to build an enterprise-level website like this one. In fact, it isn’t at all uncommon for a large team to take over 2000+ hours from initial planning to final content creation and deployment.
Markus and I are building 5 of them. Or, more precisely, we’re rebuilding them because a routine theme update destroyed all of our development sites.

The 5 hubs we’re building are this one for the Becoming Better Together project, and 4 which can be used to raise funds and other support for the project and, hopefully, earn a living for both Markus and me, are :
- Akweks : my global leather industry directory;
- desperatelySEEKING : my Yelp-like business directory and service providers for English-speaking expats in Vienna;
- faithCONNECTIONS : my (global) directory of the houses of worship and administrative offices of faith groups and parachurch organizations;
- preachersCAFE : my forums for clergy and others to discuss the Revised Common Lectionary readings for worship services.
